Compulsory Civil Liability Insurance in accordance with Ministerial Order no. 2/2021
According to decree no. 2/2021 of 4 January 2021, Civil Liability insurance for UAS weighing more than 900g has become compulsory, which is why Corbroker has solutions through Civil Liability insurance that comply with this decree.
Scope of coverage
Guarantees the obligation to compensate third parties for property damage caused by UAS whose respective aircraft has a maximum operational mass of more than 900 grams, under the terms and for the purposes of Decree-Law no. 58/2018, of 23 July, with a minimum insured capital per annuity, regardless of the number of claims.
The cover covers damage resulting from accidents that occur both in flight and on the ground.
Safe object
Unmanned Aircraft(s)/Remotely Piloted Aerial Vehicle(s), in compliance with the requirements defined in the legislation in force.
Territorial scope Portugal.
Time frame
The insurance contract covers the insured's civil liability for the use of the UAS for acts or omissions that generate civil liability that occur during the term of the contract.
Utilisation Private/Leisure, Sports, Commercial and R&D.
Requirements for taking out insurance
- Make, model, weight and version of the equipment;
- Manufacturer's serial number;
- Type of equipment use;
- Filling in the insurance proposal.
